Online Only | FEDEX to DC, VA, CA, NV, NM, ID

Who are we?

We are an Internet Posh Wine Retailer located in the District of Columbia. We carry a curated portfolio of select Bordeaux wines, Champagne wines, and local VA/MD wines.

Where do you ship to?

Orders require 1-2 business days for processing. We can only direct ship via FEDEX to addresses inside District of Columbia, Virginia, California, Idaho, Nevada, and New Mexico. Other options are available, please see the shipping page for more details.

Are there weather restrictions?

Extreme temperatures can damage wine, especially sparkling wines and old wines. We recommend in very high heat weather or very cold weather that you wait to have the wine shipped, especially if the package will travel several states away. In the end it is the customers choice of when to ship, but if we feel that shipping is not appropriate in the case of expensive wines, then we will double check with the customer before shipping.

Do we have a store?

No, we do not have a store. We are a licensed Internet Class A alcohol retailer. We are not allowed to have a facility open to the public. We ship from a private warehouse in NW DC.

When is delivery?

Orders require 2-3 business days for processing. For shipping, packages are released to FEDEX on the day that you select on the calendar. The date the packages arrives is dependent on FEDEX and the service selected, but it usually takes about 1-2 days for FEDEX packages to get to their destination in DC area and 2-5 days to all other states.

Is there another way to get my wine?

If you are in a state that we ship to, then you can use FEDEX and send your wine to one of many FEDEX pick-up locations in DC, VA, CA, NV, ID, NM that have longer hours. Or you can ship it to work or a friends or families place.

What taxes do you charge?

For addresses in District of Columbia we have to charge the alcohol tax for the alcohol portion of the sale and sales tax for non-alcohol products as well as for the delivery fee. For addresses in Virginia, because we have a nexus, we have to charge sales tax on the entire order. For addresses in California, Idaho, and New Mexico we do not charge any tax.

What else do you do?

We will be hosting catered wine parties, sponsoring events, and providing private wines tastings.
